Classic, Not Dated

The past always has a certain allure to it. But there’s also parts of the past we would rather leave behind. Our Vintage Photo Booth combines the best parts of old-timey photography without all the terrible-quality prints and the need to stand still for an uncomfortably long amount of time.

If you’re having any kind of Roaring 20s or Gatsby-themed event, then the vintage booth is for you. When you rent a Vintage Photo Booth, you’re not also renting a vintage experience. We’ve combined all the sleek modern photo technology we could with a classic exterior to create our own booth that pays homage to the past while retaining modern functionality.

We know what you’re thinking. “Every classic photo you see everyone looks uncomfortable, stiff, and awkward. Is that the experience I’ll have with the Vintage Photo Booth? It’s the 21st century after all…”

In a word: “No.” But, it’s not unreasonable to wonder such things. What we’re providing is a classicexperience, not a true-to-form dated experience. With our Vintage photo booth, you’re still getting all of the amenities of modern photography. Fast prints, clear frames, and a lot more fun than they were having back then. It’s more about creating a fun, classic atmosphere than recreating the past. When you step into the past, you should also be able to step back out!

Classy and Classic

But Is It Tacky?

Friends in formal attire holding props in front of prom 2019 art deco backdrop Another question we’re frequently posed is if a certain booth is tacky. While we’re a little biased in thinking that there’s absolutely nothing tacky about modern photo booths at all, it’s a legitimate question. And in the case of the Vintage photo booth, is definitely applicable.

We would answer by saying that it depends on your event. Different booths are better for different events, and the mood, vibe, and atmosphere of your event often dictates the booth that should be chosen.

For a formal, black-tie event, you should probably have something fancy. Though it could also be fun to accent the formalness with a photo booth that leans more towards cutting-loose style fun. Really it’s up to you. We’ve seen the Vintage booth work great for decade parties and rustic weddings alike. It’s all about what mood you’re trying to set with the booth.

To answer an earlier question: no, renting a Vintage booth isn’t tacky.

The Wonders of Modern Photography

One of the most extraordinary aspects of living in the time we do is having the technology to temporarily recreate moments from the past. With the best part being that when that moment is over, you get to return to the present. With the vintage photo booth, one way that can be achieved is with the print-outs themselves. With your photos, you have the option of printing in the ever-suave black and white, the classic sepia tones, or in modern color. This gives you complete control over the photo booth photos themselves and lets you decide if you want to stick with the past or add a little bit of a modern element.

The Power of Photo Aesthetic

An Important Consideration

So if you’re going for a roaring 20s shindig, a rustic wedding, or a Great Gatsby party, the Vintage Photo Booth not only complements the aesthetic you’re creating, but significantly enhances it.

Our Vintage Photo Booth has the look of a 1920s bellows camera, but functions with the same prowess as any other modern photo booth. If aesthetics are what you’re going for, we’ve got the solution: book the Vintage Photo Booth. Now.

Pride In Our Work

Why We Do What We Do

Photography has always meant something to us.  It’s where we got our start, after all.  Being able to capture and preserve a moment or memory isn’t something you can get with anything else.

As everything becomes more and more digital, photography (and by extension, photo booths) have to keep up with the times.  That’s why we always try and stay as up-to-date and modern as we can with our photo booths.

Many people decide against booking a photo booth because they think they’re outdated or tacky.  Granted, some still are.  If we’re talking about some dusty curtain booth shoved in a corner with no attendant, then yes, we agree.  They are tacky.  But the booths we provide at PBPC are always cutting-edge and top-of-the-line.  You won’t find any tacky booths in our repertoire.

If this photo booth seems like a good fit for you, contact us today! We’d love to talk with you about your event and how we can help enhance it with a PBPC booth. We bring the Vintage booth to events across our markets — Seattle, Boston, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Des Moines. Or, if you’d just like to learn more about photo booths in general, we’re always happy to chat.
